News: We’re officially changing our name to “Cloud Noises!” in lieu of an ongoing legal battle with former members. Just kidding. We are, and always will be the Clouds that Make the Sounds. Soundy Clouds. Cloudy sounds. Soundclouds. Nimbus Noises. Cumulus Cloud Sounds. Stratus Sounders. Or some magical ridiculous form of that. Jokes aside, we do have some great news (old and new) to share.
We’re recording a slew (5) of new songs in the studio with our fresh lineup featuring the lovely Mallory Scoppa on vocals, the dashing Matthew Serra on guitar, and the ever energetic Adam Rabidoux on Drums. Yes, your old favorites, Joe and Deron, are still alive and well. Hell, I’m one of them. We’ll be laying down the five tracks at our good friends’ (’s) s”s? Justin Johnson and Brendan Ludgate’s home studio, which we (and Brendan) hope will be called Boat. Then I’ll be mixing through the fall in my home studio. The tracks we’re recording (some working titles):
Green
Passengers
The Lake
Monaco
Dance
My boner for this project is almost uncontrollably arage. (aragin’?). I can’t wait to get my grubby and extremely large hands (ladies) on the tracks. We’ve got two days on the books and the drums, bass, and nearly all the guitars are recorded. Going in tomorrow to finish more guitars. Pictures to come.
Other News: We’ve been selected to play M.E.A.N.Y Fest in NYC, a week long sweet long festival. Our set is October 9th at the Delancey (Set time and FB event to come). Come out and check us out if you’s a New Yorker or if you’s got a New York friend. Don’t want to miss the brand new sounds.
That’s it for now. Any shows, house parties, baptisms you’d like us to play? Drop us a line on the Facebook or HMU at joeymarchese@gmail.com and make the subject line a movie you’d like me to check out.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers and purses.
Forever yours,
Joe

After a marathon of practices, sessions, conversations and other plural activities we’re happy to announce that singer/multi instrumentalist, Mallory Scoppa, and drummer, Adam Rabidoux, have joined Clouds. We’ve mapped out a couple of new tunes in the past week that we hope to record as an EP this summer and release in the Fall. We’ll be debuting those songs and more at Liberty Fest so get your tickets now: http://libertymusicfestival.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/Libertymusicfestival?ref=ts. Give them a like. The updates will be more frequent now that we’re working again (we’re very excited, you see) More to come soon…

We’re sorry to say this. Josh Hines and Jeff Mach have left Clouds indefinitely. We’re very sad that this comes exactly a year after our debut CD and just as we finished recording our EP which, as of now, we have no intention of releasing. However, we will be releasing two of the songs of that EP on future Clouds Records. We’re still going to release the entire Clouds Make Sounds: The Seasons Show, but we’ll be on hiatus until we figure out where the Clouds float to from here. Expect us at Liberty Fest 2012, and again, sorry. We still appreciate all of your support.

Hi friends,
I know, you know, he knows, she knows, and we all know that it’s been far too long since we’ve updated, well, anything. We all have been sorting out personal issues (I myself am the biggest culprit here.) and dealing with other things, but I’m happy to say that we, as a band, are nearly finished recording a new, five song EP that we hope to release sometime this summer.
It should be said that we decided last fall, because of age restrictions, that Shannon Cantor is no longer a member of Clouds. We’ve returned to our original 4-piece line up. However, we’re still on very good terms with her and she will be featured on our new EP. We’re also going to be releasing some Take Away Shows we shot during the Fall with Christina Moliterno and the entire Clouds Make Sounds: The Seasons Show very soon.
We’ll also be working on a new website, new merchandise, and we hope to start touring regularly now as soon as I finish school. (Shameless plug: My Senior Recital is April 22nd at 3pm https://www.facebook.com/events/360696370629088/ Clouds will be playing.)
What’s only been a little over two years feels like a lifetime and a half and we genuinely appreciate everyone’s unwavering support. Thank you so much.
